Ice Cream Bunny Cone Crochet Pattern




Ice Cream Bunny Cone:
-          Hook Size: I/9-5.50MM (F/5-3.75MM for snout & whipped topping)
-          Yarn Used: Red Heart 100% Acrylic Yarn
·         Head:
1.      mc 6
2.      Row 1: inc 12
3.      Row 2-3: inc 18 + 1 row
4.      Row 4-8: inc 24 + 4 rows
5.      Row 9: dec 18
6.      Row 10: dec 12
7.      Row 11: chain 3 (counts as first dc), dc x6 in each st around (72 total), sl st, f/o
·         Ears:
1.      mc 6
2.      Row 1: sc 6
3.      Row 2: inc 9 (inc, sc, inc, sc, inc, sc)
4.      Row 3-7: sc 9
5.      Row 8: dec 6 (dec, sc, dec, sc, dec, sc), sl st, f/o (leave tail to sew to head)
·         Body (Cone):
1.      mc 6
2.      Row 1: sc 6 (all st from now on are done in back loop only for texture)
3.      Row 2: inc 8
4.      Row 3: inc 10
5.      Row 4: inc 12
6.      Row 5: inc 14
7.      Row 6: inc 16
8.      Row 7: inc 18 + 1 row
9.      Row 8: sc (under both loops, no more back loop only) in each st around (18), sl st, f/o (leave long tail for sewing)
§  Tip: Increases can be done anywhere during the increase row.
·         Snout:
1.      (with smaller hook) mc 6, inc 12, sl st, f/o
·         Whipped Topping:
1.      (with smaller hook) chain 9
2.      dc x5 in 4th chain from hook
3.      dc x6 in each chain, (36), f/o
·         Cherry (optional):
1.      (with smaller hook) mc 6, securing a chain of 6 through the center for stem
2.      Row 1: inc 9
3.      Row 2-3: sc in each st around, sl st
4.      Stuff & f/o by weaving yarn in each st, then pull tight to close
·         Construction & Details:
1.      Sew whipped topping & cherry, ears, and snout to head as pictured.
2.      Nose & Mouth: Use black embroidery floss to create mouth. For the nose, you can use a small safety nose, bead, or embroider your nose on using pink embroidery floss like I did.
3.      Eyes: Safety eyes will work best for this project (I used 8MM), but large beads could work too!
4.      Cheeks: Sew 1 small pink bead to the bottom, outer corner of each eye.
5.      Stuff head and body, then sew the two pieces together using whip stitching and a darning needle. Your Ice Cream Bunny is now complete!
